Home Health Aides can provide Personal Care Services and/or Companion Care Services
Personal Care Professionals
Personal care aide services are provided by paraprofessionals who assist clients with performing activities of daily living. These services may include:
•Bathing
•Dressing
•Grooming
•Oral hygiene
•Incontinence and bathroom assistance
•Ambulation
•Mobility
•Transferring
•Positioning
•Many other services that are customized to meet the needs of our clients
Companion Care Services
Companion care services are designed to assist clients to become more fully engaged in life. Our companions become trusted friends and assist clients in socialization and everyday inclusion in the joys of living. They actively participate in activities with clients to make their time more enjoyable. These services may include:
•Providing companionship, socialization, friendship, and support
•Meal planning, preparation, and serving in accordance with dietary requirements
•Transporting clients to shopping, social events, doctor, and other appointments
•Assistance with mobility (including the use of walkers, wheelchairs, or lifts)
•Walking and exercise
•Medication reminders
•Providing respite care for other family members
•Light housekeeping including linen changes, washing, vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning
•Organizing cupboards, closets, and rooms
•Caring for pets and plants
•Ironing and mending
•Birthday and special event reminders
•Sunrise/sunset contact service
•Many more services customized to meet the needs of our clients
